The idea of having a course on keeping and maintaining venomous snakes is not wrong. What it does is it gives the student an insight in whats required if he/she decides to take the step of keeping these animals. It would be imperative during the course to inform the student that by no means does this qualify them as an adequate handler, and that mentorship is the next step forward towards being a venomous keeper.
The main question would be the content of the course, 12mths ago I was asked if I could do a 2hr presentation on venom and its clinical affects and first aid. Also a UK renowned Herp was asked if he could also present a lesson, which he also obliged. Both he and I were let down at the last minute. I'd spent approx 300hrs on a power point presentation and student handout, and the Herp was not informed at all of the cancellation. I'm annoyed because I'd sent him the student handout 2wks before the course started, giving him time to print out enough copies.
As far as I'm concerned, courses are good, it all depends who's running it!

But do you think 2 days is enough to teach someone how to handle them and the money is a lot . Can you mentally prepare someone to handle things like that ?

The money is a lot, it was him who asked me to do the presentation! Would I do it again for him, no! No it does not give you enough experience to go and handle a venomous snake, but its a start in the right direction. Unfortunately things are not cheap, hotel bills, fuel costs for guest speakers, insurance for handling snakes etc etc.
There could be a few of us starting some form of course this year, with reputable speakers! More info may be available at a later stage.
