OK - what's the shortest venomous snake? - Just kidding!
I have a question - I have a couple of rhino vipers and they have never refused a meal before but, now they are just not interested (not even a flick of a tongue) for about 3 weeks - is it normal through the winter or do I need to look for something causing it?
Thanks
Petra

It just may be normal. Just make sure they are well hydrated and don't have/get a fecal impaction.

Both of them defecated a week ago and they both drink every time I soak them - besides I mist them every day - they didn't move from their spot for a while though - after I soak them they would bask 'till they dry up and go back to their spot and stay there. So I hope they are OK.
Well, thanks for your answer.

They most likely are okay. Rhinos can be difficult sometimes. The last time my when off feed was in December of 2004, so don't worry for now

Thanks Al. I'm not worried too much. I was mainly interested if the winter season affects them. There is not much stuff out there about rhinos. I only have them since November 05 and they are obviously very different from Native snakes. So I'm little paranoid.
Thanks again.
