Two suggestions for anyone that keeps venomous or nonvenomous reptiles. #1, get yourself a copy of "Understanding Reptile Parasites" by Klingenberg. It's very easy to understand and keeps things pretty basic. Great intro into reptile care and shows you how to set up your own little clinic in your herp room. [Tip: Look for your microscope on eBay, and Tongs. com is the best place to find the other items that you'll need, like scales for instanct since all drug dosages are weight based].
Secondly, I definitely recommend MsTT's website on venomous veterinary care. Here's the URL:
http://www.snakegetters.com/demo/vet/
It is extremely difficult to find a vet that will take care of venomous reptiles in the US. I can't imagine why. ;-)
