Hey, how about a update on how the Sandy Creek Snake Day turned out ? I was not able to attend, but sure wanted to........
I got stuck helping some neighbors take down 25 large pine trees. The only good thing about the tree work was watching one of the pine trees take a 90 degree turn and wipe out the peoples deck ! LOL. It was kind of kool !
Anyone who attended the Snake Days should let us here know how things went there.
Best Regards JohnZ

Criminy! I hope the guy's wife wasn't lounging on the deck at the time. I can understand not wanting pines near the house. They sure ain't storm-proof.

Greg: The guys wife was in the shower at the time, and did not hear a thing............... which is quite fortunate, because if she had heard the tree hit, she might have run out of the house naked, which would have been really, really scarey ! LOL !
The tree did make a direct hit on one of those nice round glass patio tables ! Shattered it all to pieces ! JohnZ

SIGH. That article about the Sandy Creek Nature presentation only highlights the bad things that I covered, but doesn't mention my pro-venomous-snakes-in-nature position. SIGH AGAIN.

SIGH. I think that article definitely warrants a few more remarks. Keep in mind that the presentation was primarily for adults and only highlights the most intriguing aspects for the journalist. I hate it when someone takes things out of context and leaves out the portion that brings balance to the lecture. SIGH.

Oh yeah, he got his facts mixed up as well. I made reference to several cases where the people who were bitten, were the cause of their own injury BECAUSE they chose to interact with the snake. Don't see that in the article do you!?!

Typical journalist reporting. They sinsationalize the negative things, and leave out the positive message. Guess the Athens Paper is no better than that fish wrapper called the Atlanta Journal. JohnZ

Before we go crucifying the journalist, (Blake Aued) I’m if maybe his EDITOR is the one responsible for the final skewed point of view… just a thought.

Todd could be right. Editors can really mess up an article, and often have more of an agenda to push. JohnZ
