We just returned home after 2 weeks vacation in Florida, beside all the shopping, my wife agried to do some snake hunting as well!!
On Honeymoon Island i found 2 juveniele coachwips and several black racers, i troed for the EDB, but no luck.
Close to Lakeland we found 3 cottonmouths, several turtles and quite some florida watersnakes, last but not least i found a ribbonsnake.
So again no Diamondbacks but we enjoyed every minut and snake!
No all what's left is saving up for next year!

Jan: Sounds like a good vacation to Florida.
It can be difficult to go out and find a Diamond-Backed Rattlesnake in the wild, even in areas where they are fairly common. Perhaps next year you will be able to find one.
Best Regards JohnZ

Thanks John,
Yes it is difficult to find EDB's in just a coupple of days, but they are still common on Honeymoon and Caladesi Island according to the rangers, they do see them crossing roads every few days.
So we will go back next year and try again!
Regards,
Jan.
