Im leaving tonight for Parris Island south carolina. Its in extreme southeast S.C. Im not familiar with that area at all, but has anyone here had any luck down there? Im going to watch my brother graduate from the U.S.Marine Corps and I just might find some time to look around. He said that the marine base is surrounded by swamps.

Jeremy, just road cruise any of the small paved back roads that parallell swamps and rivers.
The whole area is good, you could see snakes almost anywhere.

Beaufort county is FULL of herps. If you are really lucky you'll see some EDBs and E Corals. Tell your broter we appreciate his sacrifice. Good luck to both of you.

Thanks everybody and thank you earthguy. I didnt really get to look for snakes too much we mostly drove around the entire time, I finally got to a good spot and was attacked by fire ants haha. I did see an alligator though. We stayed in Beaufort most of the and I was really wanting to get out and look. Maybe Ill go back one day.
