this isnt a Venomous thread. But i was wondering if anyone knew what would happen if you bred a 100% Het for Albino female ball python to a normal male ball python. Would some babys be albino and some normal or would they all be normal

Does that mean it would be a normal ball python with 50% chance of having albino babys? OR does it mean 50% chance of the babys being albino
thanks,

It means that statistically, you would expect 50% of the offspring to be heterozygous for albinism, whereas 50% would be normal. None of the offspring would actually be albino, and you would not be able to visually differentiate between heterozygous and normal specimens.

And then you get into Central Limit Theorum...basically the more offspring that particular couple has the closer you will actually get to that 50%...
I love stats.

Carpet pythons are semi aggressive. They are not hard to keep the largest of them are coastals where female could reach up to 12 ft. The jungle carpets are smaller. Beautiful snakes though. If you need more info feel free to email me.
