Hello everyone! I havn't posted on here in a while, so whats been going on ? I got engaged on new year's eve, and she is talking about the honeymoon already. We want to go to the islands and I want to take advantage of it and find an island that has some great herping. Any good suggestions? We are looking at the carribean or mexico. Thanks Garry

The larger islands will have more species than the smaller islands and the islands closer to the mainland will also have more than those further away (island biogeography). Overall in comparison to the mainland there is not much on the islands and only a few have hots (Aruba, St. Lucia, and Trinidad - all I can remember off the top of my head) If herps are a main concern for your honeymoon go to Costa Rica.

I concur..If Herping AND honeymooning are both on the short list..Costa Rica Cannot be beat!!..The amount of species one can See ther is just amazing..Ive spent the past 12 years going to CR about 2 to 3 times a year..it Never Disappoints and Is VERY Romantic..Get a place down Manuel Antonio Beach Area..travel Into the Highlands.Coffee Plantations..All Excellent! Herping and Wildlife areas..the Osa peninsula is an untouched Wild area..if You can Go see it..there are MAny Costa Rica tour Companies that can arrange for most anything when your in the country!
the country is truly a Herpers Heaven!
congrats n your engagement!
