No. That's quite a bit north of the range. On the east coast they can be found in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and the southern end of coastal North Carolina. That's as far north as they make it.

i live in horry county, south carolina(myrtle beach) and have never seen one live or dead around here. i don't think they even make it this far north. only ever found scarlets...i have snake hunted this area for over twenty years now. also never seen eastern diamond backs, i think both stop around charelston,sc....i also have friends that hunt around columdia,sc, that have never found either one,and they are even older than me and been huntin since the 70s,possibly the 60s.

I found a coral last year in Camden, S.C.. It was on near the edge of the baseball field at the high school I teach at. All of the students know I love reptiles so if they ever come across any I am the first to hear about it. I did a double or even triple take when I found it. I was not even really looking.

A good herping buddy of mine found a very nice coral snake quite by accident last spring while riding his bike along a dirt rd in some long-leaf pines in Aiken SC ..he spotted the snake crawling along..he jumped off his bike and got some nice photos to send me ..also the Biologists at the Savanah Bomb plant site were Very excited by this ..they told him after almost 50 years of studying the Coral in SC..they have only found 4 specimens in that much time!.of course corals are secretive by nature so gettting accurate population counts is difficult indeed!
