I would like to post this here, for all to see and hopefully read. I have, over the last month, posted 2 want-add, both for Bitis Gabonica-dendroaspis polylepis. Both times, I put my email address on the ad. A total of 12 very insulting emails have been sent to me, calling me 'jeremy', and telling me that i'm a 'hoaxer'. After studying a bit on this site, I can see that there is some problem with somebody named 'jeremy'. I am not Jeremy. My name is Dan, and I live in Montana. I do not appreciate these emails. I simply come here because I enjoy herping, and am looking for a few specimens. Please, to all those who insist on sending me insulting emails, STOP! Thank you.

Dan, hopefully, this situation will be closed soon enough. If you see the post above, Jeremy has stated that he apologises for past invented profiles, and that he will be putting up his real profile. I can understand some folks coming to the site and wanting to try to impress folks with informaton in their profiles that is not fully correct. It usually does not take long for folks here to notice this.
I am sorry to hear that you have recieved EMails from site members who were on some kind of a witch hunt. That is not the kind of thing we want here.
In the future, if you recieve EMails like that, please forward a copy to Me, or one of the other Site Managers, as we are most interested in knowing that something like that is going on.
