David-
I got my VR [venomous reptile] permit from Fl by meeting the requirements. Having proof that you have the required handling expirence is the hardest part. Since I live in GA, I contacted our DNR and had a agent come to my house and inspect my VR's and verify that all are healthy and in the proper enclosures. Then I had him write a report of his findings. Next, I had everyone I know make similar statements. The DNR had known for years I kept VR's without incident as did everyone else. That was my verification. I explained to the wildlife people in FL that the permit was for me to be allowed to make purchases in FL and included my money order for $5.00. Two weeks later, I had a permit.Every year, I send a moneyorder and receive approval. Call the wildlife people nearest you and request the Tallahassee phone #. Ask them to send you all the proper documents and applications. Follow them to the letter and you should have no problem. Also note that if you have had ANY wildlife violations in the past three years, you will not be approved. And do not give any false info.Good luck-----Michael
