I live in Phoenix,AZ, and I have been caring for herps for over 12 years. My question is where do you go to see if you need a permit for hots? I went on the AZ game and fish website and couldn't find any answers. I want to make sure I am doing this legally, and not making it worse for other herpers out there.

Try http:\\looserooexotics.com/venlaws.html
Laws change frequently and who knows when that site was last updated, but the contact info should be good. Marty

It's going to depend on what you're keeping. You can keep native, non protected snakes, but exotics are illegal......permits are pretty much nil for them.
And keep in mind that each city and county may have their own ordinances that will trump state law.
