Don't quote me on this, but it depends on the state. I live in az, and there aren't any real degrees in herpetology here. I would have to major in biology, then pursue grad school with some emphasis in herps. I think i read something about a university in either kansas or oklahoma, or somewhere in that area of the U.S. that has a degree in herpetology, but i don't know if it was undergrad, might have been a Ph.d program...

Tayler, again, you need to fill in your profile.
As far as colleges, there are few that offer an degree in Herpetology.
Many colleges do offer a degree in Biology, Zoology, Ecology, etc. Most of these fields can lead to work in Herpetology.
You need to search the past topics in the Experts Section here first, as this topic has been covered time and time again. The answers to your question are there, but you will have to do some work in finding them.
Hope this helps.

University of Texas at Arlington. Lots of herp faculty and grad students. A great herp collection. Lots of field opportunities abroad. UTA has produced a number of herpetologists.

I can asnwer this, currently attending college myself. Alright, its going to be hard to find a herp undergrad degree. You are going to want to go into biology and take courses leaning toward the herp field (vertebrate zoology, animal phys, etc...). Even molecular biology classes can give you the opportunity to explore the different components of the venom in snakes. Basically any biology course can be a learning experience for herping. One more word of advice....even if you find an undergrad herp program, do not pursue it. You are limiting yourself by doing this. Kind of like people who want to attend law school should not go pre-law. Focus on biology in undergrad and then prusue herp in grad school.
