Mine are all still feeding on live I have yet to try F/T but live has been a great success for my youngsters(live seem to have a stronger scent).Whenever you decide you are ready to try her first shot a feeding for you I would recomend low stress.Start with not handling her for a day before feeding her.when feeding I stay and wait for them to hit and coil(this way there is no room for mouse attack it happens especially to balls for some reason) then leave them alone I usually don't get the lid on before they hit.If you got the ball from a breeder they usually will give you a feed chart. If you got it from me I happend to sell a few girls, her feed chart is on the bottom of the deli cup she came in. Also included on that feed chart was her birth records, genetics and shed dates. The feed chart should give you a idea of how often she already has been feeding and sometimes what she is eating. For instance if mine ate something other than adult mice I made a note of it next to that date.I also recomend keeping your own feed records especially with ball pythons.it helps if they go off feed to know the dates of there last meal.It may help raise concearn if she goes to long without which for balls can actually be a while.
Hope this helps
Joe
