John, what about Hildebrand in TX? Last time I checked, TX wasn't a liberal state, and Hildebrand wasn't a Democrat. Yet he did things, underhandedly even, to really make it tougher on Texas herpers or even people just visiting the state.
It really isn't a shame you can't just say "Well, this party does it more so I'm always going to vote against them." But wait, that is what many people do and that's the real shame.

By the way, I just have to ask, since when has Kansas been considered a liberal state? They have trouble getting over the fact that evolution is a biological constant and should be taught as part of a biological curriculum. And I won't even get into the Phelps nutjobs in Topeka.

Chance, first off, I will not say: "Well, this party does it more so I'm always going to vote against them" because that is not how I vote ! You are making assumptions about me voting a straight part ticket without any knowledge of how I choose who I will vote for.
I voted yesterday in our local elections here. Although I did vote for a number of Republicans, I also voted for a couple of Democrats who were incumbants, and were doing a good job in positions like Sheriff.
Party affiliation does not make that much of a difference, as all politicians are liars and all or corrupt ! They have to be to get elected. Some are just more corrupt than others, LOL .
Voting record does make a difference though. As I stated, the voting records that Z posted do show that the Democrats voted twice as much for bad wildlife legislation than the Republicans did. Facts are Facts !
As far as Harvey Hilderbran, the Texicans in Kerrville elected him to office. Because of his underhanded and possibly illegal legislation concerning snakes, the Texicans can un-ellect him if they choose. Hopefully, the reptile folks in Texas will get together and do that. I do not live in Texas, so I can not vote against the clown. However, If I did live there, I would vote for a pro-reptile Democrat before I would vote for that worthless anit-reptile Republican !
As far as Kansas, that state is full of liberal Democrats. They are in the Legislature there, and are professors in the Kansas University. The Governor there is a Democrat, and is even being considered on the short list as a running mate for the Marxist Presidential Candidate !
Perhaps Kansas has a history of voting Republican in the past, but now the state is really not Red or Blue, but more of Purple. I am not sure what a Phelps nutjob in Topeka is, and have no desire to care, LOL.
Best Regards John Z
