That's a pretty broad request. There are 38 species of snakes in the State of South Carolina, and 40 species in the State of Georgia. Surrounding states are pretty much the same. Your best bet is a field guide to Eastern Snakes. Peterson's sells for about $18. But one of the best field guides I've found to the snakes of Georgia and South Carolina is available from the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory for only $5.00 each, which covers handling and mailing. To order copies, call (803) 725-9724 and leave the following information on the voice mail (speak slowly and spell unusual words):
*name
*address with zip code
*daytime phone number
If the voice mail is full, order by email by sending the above information to: Snakes@SREL.edu
Fax orders are also welcome: Address to "Snake Brochure--SREL Outreach" and FAX to (803) 725-3309.
Here's the URL of the page you can view it on:

This site may be of some assistance to you. It is linked here, in case you haven't checked the link section of this site yet. It only covers the venomous snakes. http://www.jbfishing.com/snakes/
