do you think these things will cause as much controversy in the Southeastern HARD Herp Society, as venomoids do in the Southeastern HOT Herp Society?

What poor little freaky looking turtles !
Not likely they will survive for too long that way, but who knows ?
Perhaps they are evolving into soft shelled turtles ?
Or perhaps they are exhibiting through mutation one of their soft shelled ancestors ?
Very Strange.
Best Regards John Z

Looks to me like they are just freaks of nature. Like the two headed turtles and snakes. They may even grow if they are kept by themselves Who knows?

That is quite bazaar in fact. The Company sells alot of oddity animals such as attached twins, two headed, eye less, and now apparently carapace and plastron deformity. The geneology of these animals cannot be good.
I guess if someone buys this animal then the market is there and who knows what we will see in a couple of years when they mature...
Stay tuned...next up, two headed shell less albino for sale. :P

I guess if your into oddities, then to each his/her own. I just hope the folks who purchase freaks of nature, are giving them the proper care.

well if they are put out by turtlesale.com they wont last tolong most likely. Turtlesale tends to sell sick, injured an dyingturtlkes that they "adopt out" for 100's of $ to people who tend to not knwo anything till they get a sick lil turtle home. I used tobe prety active on quite a few turtle forums an the number of people who would get turtlkes from them that arrived sick, dead or dying just disturbed me. Distubs me even more when no one does anythin about it. Its sad when your new baby turtle arrives stinkin of sewer water....
