		    | I've got a 12"-14" Lampropeltis c. calligaster that went off feed for quite a while.
I tried cooling her down, and that didn't work.

I caught a little brown skink (Scincella lateralis) today and put the skink and the snake in a temporary feeding tank.

Within 10 seconds that skink was kingsnake food.

My question is; Where can you get feeder lizards small enough for a 12"-14" snake?

 Thanks,
 Jon Short

		    | Also, if the snake refuses the fuzzy, try scenting a washed barely furred fuzzy with the skink. I create a "lizard dust" by maintaining a group of lizards on a bare floor so that shed, feces, occasional scales, etc falls to the floor of the cage. I dust it up into a ziplock bag, place the fuzzy in it, shake and bake and that's usually a pretty good trick. Obviously, you want to use well established, parasite free lizards when doing this but it works well. |
