I recently recieved a wild caught EDB that is the largest one that I have ever personaly seen come out of the wild. He is at least 6' and has a head like a mans fist. When he was brought to me about a month ago he was in shed. After he shed, he ate a rabbit and about a week ago he ate another rabbit. He is now in shed again. I have never had an adult shed like this, does it seem strange?

Sloane, sometimes snakes will shed frequently. This is often due to trying to heal a injury, or perhaps to get rid of vector animals like mites.
It is not likely that you stimulated a lot of new growth in a adult snake by feeding it two rabbits. You might want to look closly and try to determine if it could possibly have mites.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards

Thanks,
When I recieved him, I quarantined him and treated with POM (as I do any new snake). The day he shed is when I put him in his new cage that was treated with POM just to be safe. I have not seen any mites (I am very fanatical about that). I know prior to me recieving him he has not eaten in captivity and he has been in captivity since Novemeber.

I will after he sheds. Being wild caught I try to leave them alone and let them get acclimated without too much disturbance....

Did he have any "stains" on his skin (possible chemical exposure)? In addition to the possibilities John mentioned, I took in an 8 foot Burmese python that had crawled through roofing tar and gotten it soaked into his skin. He shed about 4 times in a month until his skin was clear...

No, everything seems normal. At least its after he fed. I would be more concerned if he didnt feed and went into a shed.
