Is there anybody in the USA processing python skins? Would be waste to just throw the dead bodies away, should be used as gators, for cowboy boots, and actually make this profitable, instead of wasteful $$$ like all the gov sponsored python studies.

The Humane Society of the United States is urging the state Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to reconsider its decision to allow python hunting in Florida.
Beth Preiss, spokeswoman for the Humane Society, this morning said they fear the program could do more harm than good. The snakes are difficult to find and it would only endanger the lives of the hunters and cause more damage to the ecosystem.
The Humane Society also fears the efforts of the hunters would be wasted since the population of pythons in the Everglades has reportedly reached 100,000.
“The number of snakes removed could not possibly keep up with the reproduction of the snake population,” according to a press release from the Humane Society. “The snakes have enormous reproductive capabilities and are also very difficult to find. One female was reportedly captured with 85 developing eggs.”
The Humane Society supports U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson’s, D-Fla., Bill 373 to stop the importation and trade of pythons.
