There was absolutely no reason for my notice about GeorgiaHerper a.k.a Dustin Draper to be deleted . I see that his counter claim was deleted as well , but it is still not justified !! If we keep the bad ones out of the spotlight , how will anyone know who they can deal with ?

It was not an ad and our ads are not a place for BOI type issues.
Please post your complaints etc in here where people can respond to them.
Over the past few years, I have gotten tired of sending email after email explaining that and now I am just deleting them. As you mentioned, I deleted both sides of the story.
Sorry, if you think that is unfair.

I normally stay clear of this Board of Inquiry type stuff, but I have gotten several calls and emails, seems this guy is using me as a personal reference to people. For the life of me, I do not understand why….he knows that I have nothing good to say about him. So, for public record, here are my dealing with this kid.
Some months ago he contacted a friend saying he had a 6 foot female EDB for sale. He directed him to me and of course I wanted it. He drug me on for several weeks about it. Told me that he lived in Atlanta, but always called from a FL landline. He would call about everyday and I would take time out of my busy work day to listen to his non-sense. He decided that he wanted 2 of my tigers and I told him I would be happy to set him up just as soon as he had his big cat paperwork for GA…and we all know that was going to happen. I finally pushed him for the snake and he tells me that it died in a house fire, though that was not mentioned until I pushed for it.
He goes by two or three different names and I never took the time to learn them. After the lie about the EDB, I wrote him off and would not answer his calls, emails, or texts. Couple weeks passed and he changed up and text me from another yahoo account. Didn’t realize it was the same guy at the time. On the weekend of the last SC show he text and wanted some copperheads. I told him that I didn’t have any to sell, but I was at the show and could get him some. He told me that he had $50 to spend and he wanted a pair. So, I told him I would pick up a pair for him and deliver them to him on my way home. (at this point he actually was in Atlanta.)
Ok, so I get him a pair. He turns out to only have $45 but that was ok, I got a discounted price on the snakes. So, he took them all was well. The female was even gravid.
Well, the coppers roll. Now, I don’t know if he put them in 10 gallon and set them in the sun or what….but they did die.
So, I told him not to worry. Next time I saw the guy, I would get him two more. And I even said, it will not be till next show that I will see him, so if I get a pair myself before then, I will give you those. Which I thought was fair on my part and he was happy with it.
So, he calls me at 2am…and those that know me, know I work from 8am to midnight, 2 full time jobs. I wasn’t happy about that to begin with and he was wanting me to refund him $50 of my money.
Two major problems. He didn’t pay $50, like he promised…only $45. 2nd, he knew these were not my snakes. I was only doing him a favor picking them up and delivering them.
So, in short, after I put my money into buying him snakes and delivering them, out of my way to him, he expects me to send him $50 of my money because he killed them.
I tried to be civil for a couple days, telling him I would replace the snakes, but nothing more. He began to threaten me…so, I told him never to call or write me again.
From that he placed on this site that Chuck Hurd was a scammer and should be avoided.
CHUCK HURD HAS NEVER SCAMMED ANYONE!!!! I have lost money more then once to make sure people feel like I take good care of them. And if those were my snakes, I may have even gave his money back after he killed them…but they weren’t mine and he knew that from the beginning.
This kid is noting but trouble, everyone should avoid him and if he tells you that he is a friend of mine, rest assured, he is not.

yup, he regurgitates lies one after another, I got a cotton of him not to long ago and he assured me it was feeding well and pounding mice, not exactly accurate as the snake wont eat at all yet. hes shady and everyone should avoid dealing with him because it will be unpleasent at best.

Well , you know me chuck , and i drove all the way to his house and fronted him some cages and snakes , and here we are now a month later , and still no payment . He claim he owned tons of exotic species in florida , so i thought he was educated in the ways of a hot keeper .. i thought wrong . i saw the set up he had the coppers in , and it was not at all appropriate for coppers . let alone there are small children in the home , and none of the enclosures are secure . He promised me a couple of snakes and they never showed , then he says he's gonna send me cash , and still nothing . And he really had choice words for you chuck . But ignorance is something that strolls through this site from time to time in some way , shape , or form .
i really wonder why he does not want to voice his opinion here . i believe we all need to here his side of the story . but we all must be careful of how we respond . He will try to slap us with defamation of character , or even a slander suit . he likes to ride them boats alot .

Chuck and all. Keep in mind that this is the same dip$h!t that was previously busted twice for keeping and selling illegal animals in Indiana. If you do business with him or even have any contact at all, it's not likely going to benefit any of you.

I believe so. Picked up some horridus that were shipped via the post office. Then claimed entrapment. I could be wrong though.
