A Green Mamba snake -- similar to this one -- bit a Comcast worker last week as he laid underground cable in Hollywood.

The Comcast worker who was bitten by a potentially deadly snake is reportedly in recovery at a relatives' house.
Pablo Vyskocil, 44, was bitten by the snake as he installed underground cable in Hollywood on the 2300 block of Taylor Street on August 20th. He had been treated at Memorial Regional Hospital and was released on Sunday.
Now, officials at Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's Venom Response Unit say finding the culprit – an Eastern green mamba – will be nearly impossible.
"It's the infamous 3-foot needle in the haystack," Lt. Scott Mullin of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's Venom Response Unit told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
The unit spent Sunday spreading out traps throughout the heavily vegetated area. Experts say the mamba species of the snake is the least toxic, but its bite can still be fatal.
The reptile bites only when provoked -- and it's unclear if Vyskocil might have inadvertently leaned on it or stepped on it as he worked.
