Yeah I thought of that, I guess I should of pointed out I want to stack a 6 foot cage on 2 stacks of 4 cages. AP said it would be fine but now it's already high, adding 3 more inches is really pushing it. If the screen in back isn't enough for the desert snakes I will need to rethink my plan. It's either the screen in back or I loose the 6 foot cage on top.

You know what, just thought of something. Not sure this is the best thing to do but maybe someone can give insight why I shouldnt.
I'm stacking four, 3 foot cages side by side 4 times for a total of 16 cages. Now if they all have a back opening could I also have side openings that line up? SO just imagine 4 cages next to each other (same height etc) and at the same spot on the side they both have a screened opening. Air would flow through one and into the other and into the other...? I'm reaching I guess.

AP cages are very easy to drill - you can just drill additional holes as needed for ventilation. AP cages do a great job trapping humidity so you need to be aware of that. Another great idea, and one we are now leaning towards, is the use of axial fans to draw stale air out and bring fresh air in...great way to address this concern. Personally, I think you are stacking too many cages and you may have challenges with irregular thermal gradients but that's just me.

Well I placed an order for one 36" cage. This will be my first neodesha cage. I may order more if I like it, and can get a rack made for them so I can stack them.

Marty,
Looks like that\'s the direction I\'m going to go. I think they look better stacked with no spacer but whatever it\'s no big deal. I figured with a screen back in a 15" high cage the nose would be rubbed raw on some snakes. Best if I use spacers in this case and have a screened top.
Thanks everyone for the advice.
Scott

In less than 24 hours I have a tracking number showing the order shipped. I\'m not sure if I have ever gotten that kind of turn-around from other cage suppliers. WOW is all I can say. According to FedEx it should be here thursday.

Scott, let us know how it works out. I'd like to see a pic or 2 when it's complete. Take care, Marty

Sure will, I'm guessing a few months out, AP time frame... 4 to 6 weeks plus my time putting them together and any bumps in the road. (Snap as I go)
Thanks man.
Scott, out.

For my neos without racks I use bakers rack shelving that I buy from a restaurant supply company. No wasted space when you buy the correct poles and shelf size. You do need to be able to have room on the sides thought to open the doors. This even allows me to stack my 3' neos 4 high.

I was thinking about using bakers racks or something very similartoo. By the time I go out and buy the wood etc. It would be cheaper or about the same cost just to use a bakers rack. Plus purchasing the right bakers racks to begin with would be fully adjustable.
