I posted this comment: The pythons are there because they have replaced the native snakes that no longer thrive in the disturbed habitat. They feed on vermin that has run amuck with the declines in the native population of rattlesnakes, indigo snakes, kingsnakes, rat snakes, moccasins, coachwhips, and every other native species. If we eliminate the python, what will feed on the vermin that are making pythons fat and healthy? Is there a plan to introduce another species that will sucessfully keep the vermin in balance? Native types obviously can no longer perform this service or they would be thriving instead. What is the plan after the pythons are gone (assuming that were even possible)? The real snakes are the politicians who waste our tax dollars on such diverion tactics as this idiotic legislation instead of getting something done in Washington. Get us health care you losers! Heard of killer bees? These are harmless snakes, people. Stop wasting our money, please!!!

I voted but i'm a bit unsure on who sees our votes. Does the final tally get sent to the senate or something? I've never used the site before so i'm curious. I'll go there more often if it will have an impact. BTW on of the previous posters made a good point about the pythons controling vermin. It would be good to see someone try to reintroduce some of the vanishing natives

I registered, logged in, and when I click on oppose the bill it comes up with a screen that tells me to register again...what is this so no one else can oppose the bill???? I do not see that I did anything wrong in registering, I ever did it twice.... anyone else having this problem? Paul

Paul ...did you get your confirmation email? If so you have to click on the link in the email to confirm. Hope this helps because the way it is looking we are going to need ALL the help we can get!

Paul, It did it to me click on the view bill at the top of the blue box where it looks like you vote. the screen will change and show you the whole bill. then you can vote. Joe
