does anyone own
Porthidium
ophryomegas and if
so are their
disposition always
aggressive towards
you while changing
their cage like
cleanup. i am about
to get rid of my
pair due to this
condition ill stick
to my gabbies and
copperheads and few
more species

LOL. I've yet to come across one that didn't try throwing itself at me.
I love the Porthidium, and actually love the ones I work with, but it takes a certain kind of person I guess.
Yeah, they're pretty much all rather foul. I have a male ophryomegas that isn't all that snappy anymore. Doesn't like being moved all that much though.
Very alert snakes.

I keep a large group of them I find the females become easy to work with as they get larger the males are high strung psycotic mini pogo sticks I love them.Big attitude small package.Keeps you on your toes.

I picked up an adult pair a number of years ago. Great snakes, but they acted as though they were being hit with a taser everytime I opened their cages. The liability was just too high for me, so I sold them.
