If you could only afford one set of snake tongs for every purpose, what length and manufacturer would you select??

I still prefer the old original Whitney tongs to anything on the market currently. The length I use most is the 40" set. I have two sets of these old reliable tools and I like their weight and balance. I pad them with urethane adhesive door weatherstrip material.
If I were purchasing a set today, I would probably go with the Midwest Gentle Giant design in a 40" length.
I do not like the Pilstrom style tongs for snake manipulation. They are, however, fine for cage maintenance and prey presentation.

I would have to say 40" Gentle Giant tongs as well. That is one stout piece of equipment. I'm sure mine will outlast me and I'm only 33.
