If I ship to a state where it's not legal to keep venomous but the person picking it up lives in a state where it's legal is this acceptable? This person lives on the state line.

Yes, I have a friend that lives near the Tennesee border, but lives here in Arkansas. He picks his animals up at the Memphis airport, (where it's illegal to have venomous) and drives them back to Arkansas, where it IS legal. The folks at Delta know the package is directed to Arkansas, so they don't have a problem with it.
Good to see you at my San Antonio Show Shane! Had a great time.

Most states allow a certain time period for transport of animals that have a restriction.
