Are there any venomous snakes that eat something other than mice? I don't like the idea of feeding a snake a mouse.

Many different species will feed on other prey items, but due to the readily available rodent supply most feed rodents. Other prey items range from lizards, frogs, toads, other snakes, some will take fish, etc. Depends upon the species and what they feed on naturally and what you can imprint them to feed upon in captivity. Research the animals you are interested in.

You can also buy mice/rats pre-killed and frozen to feed to your snakes. In fact, most recommend it. A thawed mouse can't chew on your snake. Plus frozen rodents are much easier to care for. Take care, Marty

Okay..... I am going to say it (prepare to flame me).
You are in no way ready for a venomous snake. Please reconsider this and perhaps revisit the idea in a few years. You'll be glad you did.

I know I am not ready for a venomous snake. I'm only getting familiar with how to care for one. I plan to get one someday, not soon though.
