At least the reporting seems straight forward and isn't full of the sensationalistic crap you get in the US. RIP, fellow herper.

Right - no mention of "pet" cobras. Very tragic end for a young and well-liked herper, but also an illuminating cautionary tale on the dangers of anaphylaxis.

No, it doesn't, but given the large number of snakes in the man's collection, his years of experience, and the suddenness of his demise, I would think anaphylaxis to be a far greater probability than an open wound.
