My friend will be travelling to the Congo for almost two months coming up soon(end of Jan). I have asked for more specifics on where since it's a big place. He will be exploring and filming some areas that have never been explored by Westerners with pygmies as guides. I have asked him to take pictures of all snakes so I can try to help get them identified. This trip is for educational purposes. I broke out my handy dandy book of venomous snakes of Africa and it really doesn't seem as dangerous in that regard as many regions. Bush, Rhino, and Gaboon vipers but too humid for Puff adders. three or four elapidae(cobras and Jameson mamba). I have always heard scary things about forest cobras but I read they are elusive. My friend is also concerned at the responses he is getting in regards to the challenges of keeping antivenom safe at a lower temperature in a hot jungle for weeks at a time. Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

From my friend in regards to logistics:
We are traveling to the Republic of Congo, in the north of the country. The terrain there is entirely unmapped and undocumented. But there are a few people living in small enclaves, apparently.
