Hey gents, been a minute since I last was on. I wanted to let you guys know of a sale that’s going on on Turtleskin‘s website where they’re having a close out on one of their full protection, gauntlet style gloves. They’re selling them for $20 currently (when I called they stated they’re pretty well identical to their other gauntlet glove. They just stir closing these out due to not stocking this particular color anymore), so if anybody is looking for gloves to use as a last barrier I’ll have the link below. they said that they have level three needle stick resistance to a 28 gauge needle and for something to be used as a last line of defense these might be of use. I know there was someone on here who had previously posted about these. I may also post a link in another article on different glove materials, and the resistance to punctures from bat fights. While obviously not reptiles, the article does give a good indication of the performance of different materials. Here is the link:

I received an e-mail from a question I asked the company and they said the gloves I bought were not recommended for my intended purpose basically and to get their other model, as these are basically a thin glove and don’t have the same protection rating. A direct contradiction of what they were telling me over the phone but I am trying to clarify so hopefully nobody has spent money as of yet updates to follow.

Urgent update (at least I think it is lol). I called it the company and they stated I was given bad information. The gloves that are on clearance have not been tested against Needlestick and are not recommended for this purpose. Sorry for the bad info gents, I though the first rep gave me good info, apparently not.
