I am fascinated by coral snakes and would like to know if they would be considered good to keep. Please tell me about their temperament, feeding habits, cage conditions, and effects of the bite. Thanks

hi , I also love the coral snake thier my favorit north american snake , but they are very difficult to keep in captivity , and usualy dont last long most wont feed but if you want to try to keep one ok. they eat mostly snakes and lizards. that for most is the hardist thing to over come , as for housing you need a deep moist bedding such as peat moss, sorgam moss they need lots of hiding places and a source of heat. they temperment is not bad they are placid by nature but if threatend they will bite. the bite is pretty serious. the toxin's should closly resemble other elapid's that contain mostly neurotoxic properties.
i hope this helps
