I AGREE. might be a great idea for some site members to organize some kind of fun get togethers to meet ..perhaps some field trips?..whatever .I know Id like to meet fellow herpers..Always fun..to share experiences and adventures..this site is good for that ..but ulimatly
you could really make and meet some new friends and ..perhaps everyone could benifit from the camraderie!

I think seasonal outings would be a good thing. I live in North Carolina, but I would easily travel SC, Georgia, and north Florida to meet others, find some new herps, and learn more.

The members of S.H.H.S. have made several outings. We have made trips to the Miami Serpentarium which is ran by Bill Haast, and to the Savannah River Ecology Lab, and also herping trips to Apalachicola Fla. You can see some of the photos in our photo album in the left column of our website under S.H.H.S field trips and the Apalachicola trip. I encourage you to become a member of our society if these types of excursions appeal to you. Hope this helps and answers all your questions.
Happy Herping,
Todd
