I would like to get sites on the net that show Puff Adder ( Bitis Arietans), and/ or Gaboon Viper ( Bitis g. Gaboonica ) bites. I really need to have decent pictures of the bite and a real medical case history would love to get case history on the bite in Buffalo NY earlier this year, but nothings available. So does anyone know of such a website or book that shows the bite with and without treatment. Thanks
Barry

... on that website ARE timber rattler bite shots. At least that's the legend to those shots in Findlay Russell's book "Snake Venom Poisoning", and I see no reason to doubt that. Also, a few weeks ago, Findlay Russell presented a talk in Oxford in which the same slides were shown, and he again introduced them as shots of a timber rattler bite.
I did see the same shots on a different website, where they were stated to represent a fatal Gaboon viper bite, but that appears to be just as fictitious as the text that goes with the website linked to on the Links page.
Cheers,
Wolfgang
