i own a a.c. phaeogaster which i believe to be gravid how can i tell for sure if she is indeed gravid and how would i go about setting up an enclouser for to give birth in.

Only foolproof way to know is have an ultrasound done...other than that, you should be able to feel the developing embryos if you gently massage her underbelly with your fingertips.
Closer to term, the snake will often show distinctive 'lumps'.
For preparation, I would insure the snake has a hidebox and if you have a water dish large enough for her to bathe in, take it out and replace it with a smaller one...your new born copperheads could drown in the dish if the snakes chooses to go in it when giving birth (not uncommon).
Other than that, maintain proper heat and clean conditions.
I think it should go without saying that if you are housing her with any other snakes (like the male) - take them out.
