I went to Okeefenokee swamp about 20 years ago on a boyscout trip. I had to get away from the scoutmasters to do this but I was able to find a few snakes and turtles. Among them were cottonmouths, one Indigo, and a coral snake. Very interesting because at that time, I was just developing my interest in herps. I carried a book with me for identification of herps. You should have seen me madly flipping through the pages to try to identify a snake that was running away or already gone. Very good learning experience for me. You should go. I hope it is the same because it has been a long time.
Good Luck
Clayton
