Description: I found this Northern Pacific Rattlesnake on my deck in June 2004. The snake must have climbed over 15 feet as the deck is up very high. Note that the rattle was not visible as the tail went through the boards on the deck. I confirmed it was a rattler only after brushing it off the deck.
