Description: this one found me. i stopped to take a lunch break while hiking on memorial day 2001 near laguna lakes in san diego county. i sat on a flat rock and set my things next to me and while i was eating lunch i noticed this rattlesnake crawling under my backpack. when i lifted the pack, he retreated only a few feet away and did not appear to be bothered by my approach to take photographs.
