The VenomousReptiles.org project depends on many volunteers who donate their time
to help with the administration chores of running each of the areas
within the site. The VenomousReptiles.org team is constantly changing,
as managers may find their lives or interest level changing. We will
continue to profile our team and keep this page up-to-date with changes
in the team makeup.

Site Manager, Chris Harper, webmaster
Chris Harper is the president and founder of the SHHS, and a Nationally Registered Paramedic. Chris teaches classes on snakebite to all levels of medical personnel and consults on snakebite cases around the country and the world. Chris spent a year and a half working in Iraq as a Security Contractor Medic in 2009 and 10, worked on the Gulf Oil Spill providing medical support in 2010 and 11, then went back to Georgia to continue his work in Emergency Services.

Daniel Duff has had a lifelong love
for nature, sparked in childhood
from a fascination with dinosaurs.
He can most often be found hiking
the most remote regions of the
North Georgia Mountains, or camping
on the black water rivers of South
Georgia, reflecting peacefully by a
campfire. Armed with a research
permit from the Georgia DNR and US
Forest Service, Daniel spends much
of his field herping time gathering
notes from his study sites.

Al Coritz is product manager for a Scientific Instrument Company with a lifelong interest in venomous reptiles that has taken him as far as the island of Komodo. Al has been keeping venomous reptiles for over 30 years and can often be found in our "Ask the Experts" forum.

Assistant Site Manager, Karl H. Betz, Buzztail1
Second in command at the SHHS, Karl H. Betz is a recently retired submarine assistant navigator for the U.S. Navy and a lifelong venomous herpetology enthusiast. Karl has been actively involved in educating the public about venomous snakes since 1976. Karl's favorite hot herp is the Pigmy Rattlesnake.

Todd Poole is a certified Firefighter and Hazmat Technician. On his off time he gives presentations on reptiles at local schools, boys/girls scout troops, fire and E.M.S. departments. He also volunteers at the Greenville Zoo in the Reptile Department.
