This is yet another great and durable product for herpers by Midwest. They are used by the most professional herpers such as Donald Schultz. I got the 40 inch tongs. I've only had them for a brief time but I can tell that the will improve my herping by a lot!!
Great product

I own a Reptile Exhibit and just purchased an M1 for around the shop. I have owned a knock-off of the Gentle Giant and just didn't like the wide jaws which made the tongs front end heavy. I didn't want to go with the standard tongs as the jaws are to narrow and the possiblity of injuring any of my Crotalus wasn't worth the risk. These tongs are extreamly light weight and strong. I also own a few other products from Midwest and the quality is first class. I would not hesitate to recommend any of the Midwest products to anyone looking for quality herp tools.

Best snake Tong ever!

I have just recieved this snake tong and it is the best snake tong that I ever have seen. I chose this tong over the Gentle Giants because of the thinner top jaw that the M1 tong has (better for field work). It is a very sturdy product that not only looks great but works great. I have used this tong on my 4' corn snake and it works great. I orderd mine with the super tube option and though it is a bit heavier than I expected it to be, it is a much stronger and safer snake tong than my other tong that I have (a pillstrom Style snake tong made by a pakistanian company) and the weight is not a problem when you know your equipment will hold up in the field. The materials used in this tong are superior to anything used by other manufacturer, you just cant beat Midwest! I would recomend this tong to anyone.

Very Pleased

I ordered a custom length set of M1 Tongs. I am pleased with the overall construction and use. These do not work as well for small snakes, however for medium and larger snakes they have worked out perfect. I am pleased with my purchase.
Thanks.

First tong I ever used, and I still love them over a year later! I've put these things through hell, and they still work wonderfully. Best for working with snakes that the Gentle Giant line may be too large for. I've tackled mid-sized crotalinae with ease, and found these to be ideal for the job.

I purchaced the M1 over the Midwest website. These were the first tongs of Midwest that I had tried. I have used several lower priced units...I must say...these tongs are worth ever dollar. And Midwest stands behind their equipment. They even sent me a nice T Shirt to boot.

I have to say, these are probably the best Tongs I have ever used. I just got mine about 6 months ago, and I have no complaints. I have used Gentle Giants, but I think that M1's are by far the best Tong. If I were to recommend any typ of Tong, it would surly be M1's...............Be Safe Ya’ll, Happy Herping : Wally
