Ok but quality seems to have gone down

Time owned: 3 to 6 months

I have purchased a couple of these in the last month or so and where i do like the style of the hook Midwest quality seems to have diminished somewhat. I have received two of these and each time they look like they are sending out used hooks. The colored hook is coated with a blackish substance and the epoxy that is used to place the hook into the shaft has been goo'd around the hook and shaft. I have always been a fan of Midwest but i just don't know about their quality anymore. Hook still seems stable and secure and i would not hesitate to use it even on my large Atrox but they need to take a look at their standards.
