these is a great tool with experiance. is is light strong and with experiance can be very gental,humane, and safe. the only problem is that if you are new to these tools they can produce a crushing force to the snake you are handaling(this can be great for picking up inanimate objects), and that the grip isn't very comfortabe, I would like to see a gental giant grip on these(like the one Donold Shultz uses).

Although I don't like to handle snakes with these tongs, they do have 2 invaluable uses in my snake room - picking up water bowls and feces. Sometimes I use tupperware waterbowls and these tongs are the only ones I have that will pick them up. If feces have hardened, occasionally I will use these tongs to grab them with a big wad of mulch. Considering the number of venomous keeper bite stories that start with, "I was reaching into the cage and....", anything that can keep me from having to reach in the cage is worth sixty bucks to me.
