The gigantic are large enough to enable my gila monsters to soak comfotably, yet these bowls are light weight for daily water changes. The extra large bowl has proved to be perfect for our desert box turtle. She can easily get in and out. These bowls are also smooth enough on the inside that they do not build up algae or other gunk when you rinse them.  Charper Rating: 5/5 Sep 1, 2000 20:50 Send this review to a friend Many benefits to these bowls  Time owned: more than 12 months Besides the benefit of making a cage setup look more natural, these bowls are deep (4 to 6 inches) and provide herps with more room to soak. I thought there might be a problem with them flaking or chipping when I first looked at them, but after many, many washings, they still look brand new. I have plans to buy more of these soon.
