I treated myself to this book 4wks ago for my birthday and I have no regrets in my purchase. The photography is absolutely stunning. It has taken Mr Rubio 12yrs of photography to be able to acomplish this book, and it has paid off.He has photograhed all US Rattlesnake species and subspecies plus more. The book its self covers Ecology,Anotomy,Reproduction,Movement,Fangs to Roundups, religion and Mythology plus more. This book is affordable and if you have any interest at all in these majestic animals and then this is one to add to your library. With his beautifull illustrations and up to date scientific knowledge, this book along with"Laurence Klauber"1600 page master peice is the ultimate literature on Rattlesnakes on the market today.

This is the best book I have ever found on Rattlesnakes. It has so many detailed pictures of soo many rattlesnakes. It also has a list of every rattlesnake species and subspecies; that can come in handy if you ever wanted to count them down. The writing and information in this book is very descriptive and accurate. Just about everything you would ever need to know about rattlesnakes. Excellent book for rattlesnake lovers.

The magnificient Pics and captions clearly identify Species and Subspecies alike! Well written; Definitely a Reference Book of Quality. I highly recommend this Book to both Professionals and Amateurs who have an interest in both genus.

A definitive work on rattlesnakes

This is one of the 2 best books on rattlesnakes in existence. Klauber's is the other, but lacks the stunning photography of this book. Rubio also had the benefit of 3 decades of more research to add to this book. It has the most up to date scientific data, taxonomy, and snakebite information also. This is a must have for anyone interested in rattlesnakes.
