Needs to be revised i.e. the section on treating snake bite suggesting the "cut and suck" method for removing venom. But loaded with lots of great information and at great price.

Got the book from the zoo I was working at 2 years ago, it is also the '65 original hardback.
Really a must have!
Even though some info is a bit outdated

I concurr with Buzztail (1965 Publication)

I just acquired the 1965 Publication, however, subsequent publications appear to be of lesser quality. I was amazed that the copy I obtained looked to be like Brand New.

This book, actually the original hardback version, was my first ever book on venomous snakes. I have had my copy for 30 years and my edition is long outdated but I wouldn't give it up for anything. Now that a newer edition is out in paperback, it will be the next herp book I buy. Karl
