Description: John W. Kemnitzer Jr.; Paperback; Buy New: $19.95 - Snake Hunting the Carolina Tin Fields" explores every facet of tin and its appeal to snakes. It is far more than a "how-to" book, as the author draws upon 25 years of snake hunting, and relates dozens of experiences with serpents in the Carolinas. Told with humor and often poking fun at himself and his companions, this book will appeal to amateur and professional herpetologists alike. This book helps fill the need for more snake hunting adventures in the Southeast as described earlier by Kauffeld and Bartlett.

This is the book that I continually refer people to when they ask me how to find snakes in the field. The experienced herper will enjoy reading about someone else's experiences in the field, and might learn something along the way as well.
