Description: Automates keeping records on your herps, you can go as detailed as you want, VERY flexible. Keeps everything from basic feeding and breeding records to shed and vet records. Just about any details you could need to use, you can enter in this software. One of the best features, is that it ties a photo gallery with each entry, so you can insert a pic when you first get an animal or a baby pic and track it over the years, also great if you have more than one of a species, the pic helps you tell which one youre talking about. Another nice bit is the open note section where you can attach a note about whatever to the animals record. There's a lot more so just check the website.

I used to be sold on MSA

I've used MSA Herp for several years, and was quite happy with it, despite some flaws. However, the recent lack of service & support that I've received from Micronexus has left a bad taste in my mouth.
In short, I reformatted my hard drive a month or so ago, and lost my registration key. Over the course of the past month, I've sent several emails requesting support, which have all gone unanswered. Rather than pay again for this product, I'm opting to give Hungry Herps a try.

It's a pretty good user friendly demo.....my biggest problem is that I have to insert the venomous genera and species to the list myself, they do have a great deal of non-ven stuff, but I could really use some of the venomous as a default packaged choice.

Support is excellent as well.

This has a lot of the basics, and is missing a lot too. No good way to track clutches. Sorting functions are missing. The help system sorely needs help. Application navigation is totally different from standard Windows apps so it isn't as friendly as it could be. Still, there isn't much out there to compete with it right now unfortunately. No facilities to track expenses. Poor facilities to track breeding program. I'm eagerly awaiting my eval version of Hungry Herp.

The easiest and most detailed animal record software I've found

Lots easier than trying to hack together a spreadsheet. Keeps every record you can think of.
The photo gallery feature is great.
This software was obviously actually written by herpers.
