My dear daviewonder (no relation to stevie, presumably).... spewing so much hot air cannot be helpful to the global warming situation, so be careful! As warmer weather is approaching, I have spent most of the day (prior to sitting on my arse here long enough to write this) advertising my own FREE snake removal service for which I do not charge a thing, and which, unlike the man's business in our video here, involves no traps of any kind, just my hands and some 40 years of experience keeping people from killing things they don't understand. Is this going to save the planet? Are you kidding? There is a plastic garbage pile the size of a continent floating around in the Pacific ocean. What are you going to do about that, arse-hole? The only thing that can save the planet now is another mass-extinction... of a certain single species that has gotten way out of control. Of course, that is not a very politically correct or popular point of view, but you know what? Nature could care less about our politics, our rights, our anything popular. Put thirty mice in a ten-gallon aquarium with enough food for ten and see what happens. In short, arse-hole, we are f***ed, but in the meantime, if I can save few snakes from the hoe, or get a few rednecks to stop trying to run them over on purpose, I'm a little happier.

To be honest, I think that the majority of people who visit this site couldn't care less about the welfare of reptiles, or of the enviroment and animal kingdom in general!
I remember a few months back, when a speakout question was posted about something to do with 'the price of gas'. Someone went on to say that global warming was a hoax, but if he and the others who agreed with him took the time to look at the facts he would see that the enviroment that the animal he claims to love (snakes, obviously) lives in, is dissapearing rapidly, and that something needs to be done about it.
Also, many people on this site seem to boast about 'how they took two healthy rattlesnakes from their natural habitat in the wild, and sold them to some randomer to make a profit'!
The point I am trying to make is, if people care about animals (in particulary snakes) as much as they say they do, they need to stop being such hypocrites by complaining about 'glue traps' , which I admit is a problem, and start protecting these animals instead of sitting on their arse infront of a computer boasting about how big their snake is!

Seems like someone needs to invent a better snake trap so the world will beat a path to their door
If snakes are so apt to enter this thing, then they would surely enter a tube with a one way valve of some sort. More expensive, but can be reused.

does the contraption actually hurt the snake?

This idea maybe originally came from Japan, where glue traps were used to trap the habu, Protobothrops flavoviridis in the Rykuyu islands.
It is not acceptable in this day and age,
people need educating, beyond the bible it seems

A woman recently brought one of these things in to our vet clinic, wanting me to identify the "snake" she had trapped in it. It was actually a young 5-lined skink. I have also seen baby birds and various other small animals die miserably in these horrid contraptions. Humans are the only animals, as far as I can see, that are bad for the environment, and that includes all the damage done by domestic, feral, invasive and introduced species, since all of those are, after all, the results of human activity and "ingenuity." We are truly wise, in our own eyes.
I can only agree with the late Grace Olive Wiley: "If people could only be more like snakes, the world would be a much better place."

This guy is just as bad as the rattlesnake
round up guys he thinks he know's so much about snake ;he just knows how to kill them. absolutely sick.!!!!

Unfortunatly, because folks hate snakes so much, this guy will probably sell a lot of his glue traps.
There is a smaller cardboard glue trap that is sold by home depot and lowes, and although it is not sold specifically for snakes, they do say on the label that it can be used to catch spiders, lizards, snakes, mice, and other "varmits."

think this is absolutely ridiculous. if the snake control guy gave a crap then he would do catch release. he is just in it for the money and because of the natural fear of snakes, he has a constant clientelle. what a "smart guy". i agree with jared on the EVEN BIGGER trap for cats, but then you would be arrested for animal cruelty. how about we stick HIM on an extra large sticky trap and see how HE feels...maybe he will think twice about how humane it is!
