Copperhead killed my dog

Hi, I wanted to plead with everyone to be extra careful, even in your own yard. Just wanted to let you know my Rottweiler, Honda, just died from 3 Copperhead bites. My grass is cut short, there is no trash in the yard, no junk, no weeds. Saddest thing in the world to watch her suffer and die. Vet did everything medical science had to offer but the poison just shut down her organs. Weirdest thing is I never saw the snake, and my other dog remains just fine, and I live in a normal city house in For Worth, TX. Have no idea where the snake came from. My vet told me my dog was the 3rd Copperhead dog bite he had treated last week, plus his college roommate was actually in the hospital due to Copperhead bite.
