I got griped out for free handling earlier this summer. I look through the photo section again and saw two people completly free handling. I even saw someone holding a Cobra with there bare hands. And everyone got mad over a canebrake. Oh well.

Jeremy:
I agree, no one should be displaying those sorts of photos on this or any snakes website. Let one of the officers know what pictures, they should be remove.

You know if new members that have never handled a venomous reptile before see these pics, its gone make them think, huu i can do that, then next thing we know we read in the paper (young snake handler dies from being bite by such and such species, officials say that the ppl that knew him saw him handling them without proper tools) BOOM another bad blow to the safe herp comunaty. So, in comes more restrictions and more hate for our comunaty. I say drop the free handing pics, and i plead with those that do free hand, plzzzzzzzzzzzz think of what kind of damage it would do if God forbid you got bite and died from the bite. The press would eat a story like that up, and think of the bad press to come from that...just my opinion ....happy herping Wally

Could you be more specific? In the "site members" section I see several pictures of people free-handling nonvenomous snakes, I think one person holding a mildly venomous rear fanged snake with heavy gloves, a few people TAILING cobras and one person free handling a venomoid king cobra (who got seriously griped at when he first posted it). Did I miss anything?...
